This is the best place I have been to. The service was great. The people are so very nice here. Wonderful atmosphere. And the food was awesome. Best fried catfish I have ever had. Hushpuppies were cooked perfectly. Even the coleslaw was great and I don't normally like coleslaw. I have never seen so many desserts in a restaurant before. That have all kinds.

Great cafe, with the taste of down-home cooking in a vintage-style dining room, with attention to detail. Food was hot and delicious! Coffee served with our breakfast, was also pleasant and refilled often. A great dining experience next to the river and Route 65. Glad we had the chance to visit!

I have driven past this place several times on my way through Arkansas and always wanted to stop. Today I was able to stop for lunch. It was just what I was hoping for. A nice Cafe with home style food and friendly people. I had the Catfish plate that came with fries, hush puppies, beans, and coleslaw. The fish was perfect, nice size, and not over cooked. I'm already looking forward to stopping again.

Desserts, especially pies, are the draw to this down home riverside restaurant. The delicious food more than keeps up with the sweet things. It was after one when we arrived, people were waiting for tables when we left. Each weekday there is a special. Thursdays it is fried pork tenderloin served with a massive stack of fluffy mashed potatoes with white gravy and the choice of purple hulled peas or turnip greens. Everything was flavorful. The salads were bright green and looked delicious. Other entrees looked equally good. Enjoy your lunch, but save room for a shared piece of the cherry or chocolate merangue. Your taste buds and stomach will leave happy.

We stopped by the Red River Cafe after hiking and we were plenty hungry. The food was delicious. I had a Patty Melt, which is how I always test a restaurant that has burgers and it was amazing. I really enjoyed it. My husband had a double cheeseburger and he said it was good. I had coffee and it was good for diner coffee. Also, my husband had the iced tea and he said it was good. It was pretty busy there, but we still got good service. The only thing that would’ve made it better is if they had a chocolate roll for us to have for dessert. We have heard tell of The Chocolate roll and we have never had one so that was a little disappointing, but didn’t detract from the overall visit, which was good. We will go there again if we’re in that direction.

Nice country-style local place by the river! Friendly staff and fresh food. Spacious bathroom with a full baby changing table. Booths and tables available- self seating. We didn’t have dessert but it sounds like this is the place for pie! Affordable prices and good portions. The grilled chicken sandwich was delicious! My group liked their food, too! Ambience could be improved with music but was otherwise fine. Diner feel.
